He further called for support from wealthy Nigerians to contribute generously to the university's development, praising Governor Peter Mbah's gold-standard contribution to the Faculty of Law.

Frowning at violence in the country, Monsignor Professor Ike urged a shift towards using technology to challenge human intelligence, highlighting the significance of modern science.

The Vice-Chancellor Reverend Father Professor Christian Anieke expressed gratitude to Monsignor Ike, underscoring the university's dedication to spiritual and intellectual formation. Character assessment, he emphasized, extends beyond lectures to encompass various activities.

The Vice-Chancellor also announced that Mr Eric Mbaeze has been appointed as the Director of the university and its group of institutions’ choir.
