The landlord has to either give you another suitable apartment or refund you unexhausted part of the rent.

Someone whose house is about to be demolished, how can you even approach someone who's mentally and emotionally down for a refund or change of apartment??

This is business, and you can maintain business ethics while showing empathy. The bigger the benefits, the bigger the loss when something goes bad. The landlord has been enjoying a lion share of whatever benefit they apartment offers. He has to bear the loss.

Since Wike came in the only place they have demolished is pantaker market and no tenement house so far.

I think I'd blame myself for not doing due diligence and renting a house that's about to be demolished since I'm certain the landlord had more than 3 months notice.

Lesson learnt. Don't be stupid in future.

I live in Abuja and I am also an estate surveyor in a feseral establishment,just name one place aside Pantaker that was demolished.

U think demolition is so easy like that.

Requesting for a refund can be time waster because the landlord is affected too. I will suggest you move on.
