Updates on the Al-Aqsa Flood operation presented in this episode of Samri Channel.
The beginning of the prisoner exchange process between the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and Israel. The Palestinian movement began handing over the first group of hostages it held during its attack on Israel on October 7 and transferring them to the International Committee of the Red Cross in the Gaza Strip to hand them over to the Hebrew state. In this context, a spokesman for the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the International Red Cross received 24 civilians who were detained in the Gaza Strip.

Majid Al-Ansari added in a post on X that a number of Thai citizens were released outside the scope of the truce agreement between Israel and Hamas, and they are on their way out of Gaza with the Red Cross. The Israeli army said in a statement, “The released hostages underwent an initial medical evaluation inside Israeli territory,” adding, “Israeli army soldiers will continue to accompany them as they head to Israeli hospitals, where they will be reunited with their families.” A list published by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office showed that among the released hostages were three girls and a boy between the ages of two and nine, in addition to six women over the age of 70.

On the other hand, the Qatari official confirmed the release of 39 Palestinian women and children detained in Israeli prisons. A source close to the Palestinian movement said, "Half an hour ago, the prisoners were handed over to the Red Cross, which handed them over to the Egyptian crew and the Israeli crew assigned to receive them at the Rafah crossing." A second source confirmed this information. In addition, a source reported that "an additional number of Thai foreigners were released as a gesture from Hamas." Thai Prime Minister Srita Thavisin said in a post on the “X” website, “I was informed by the security side and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that 12 Thai hostages have already been released.”
On Friday, a four-day truce entered into force between Israel and Hamas. The chief Israeli military spokesman said on Friday evening that the Israeli forces are taking advantage of the four-day truce with Hamas that was agreed upon to allow the return of some hostages to prepare for the next phase of their operation in the Gaza Strip. Daniel Hajari said in a regular press briefing, "During the days of the truce, the Israeli army will complete its preparation and preparedness for the next stages of the war." Qatar was the main mediator, along with Egypt and the United States, and reached a truce agreement for four renewable days, during which 50 hostages held in Gaza would be exchanged for 150 Palestinian detainees in Israeli prisons.

On the other hand, the Associated Press quoted an American official that a ship owned by an Israeli billionaire was targeted in the Indian Ocean. The agency added, "A container ship owned by an Israeli billionaire was attacked by a suspected Iranian drone in the Indian Ocean while Israel is waging a war on Hamas in the Gaza Strip." For its part, Al-Mayadeen channel quoted private sources as saying, “The ship that was targeted in the northern Indian Ocean received a hit that led to it catching fire.”

Meanwhile, Roi Kayes, head of the Arab Affairs Department at the Israeli Kan channel, said, “No confirmation has been received from Israeli authorities about the authenticity of the incident or the ownership of the ship to Israel.” The Ansar Allah Houthi group had detained an Israeli ship in the Red Sea, stressing that it would continue to carry out military operations against Israel until the war on the Strip stopped. The Yemeni military media published scenes showing the moment the Israeli ship was seized. The Commander of the Yemeni Navy, Major General Muhammad Fadl Abdul Nabi, announced that the naval forces will continue to carry out military operations against Israeli ships and interests until the targeting of Gaza stops.
