Whatz Up Nokia ? by qwest(m): 11:31am On Oct 29, 2011 |
can't this guys at Nokia get anything right? they jettison their own in house platforms to go paying Microsoft royalties on an OS that is not as popular as theirs. the software has glitches n the hardware they put out is below par. n the misguided CEO goes on t.v to claim: 'this is the real windows phone', when the Taiwanese' firm, HTC has a better offering, in the titan, than their clone of an already released phone, N9, which they seem to want as their flagship. |

nokia is a business company who want to maximise profit so they know what they are doing. Also, that is reason why you have some many option to make base on fone and OS you want. |

qwest: You obviously know little of what has been going on in the tech world. Nokia's marketshare is slipping, Symbian is fast falling out of favour with consumers in Europe and is not at all popular in the US. Windows Phone is much better than Symbian and has a better chance to survive in the Android and iOS infested waters than Series 60 ever did. qwest: 'Glitches'?! I've read loads of Windows Phone 7.5 reviews and I havent seen any mention of any serious glitches (every OS has some bugs. iOS, Android are no exception). I've used WP7 myself and IMHO the UI is fluid, beautiful and unsurpassed in its loveliness. I have no idea why you say the Lumia 800 has 'below par' hardware. The screen is on par with the best in the industry (Super AMOLED just like the GS2), the phone chassis has been described as the most beautiful phone hardware ever by Engadget and CNET. The processor (1.4 Ghz!) and GPU are the best ever seen in a Nokia device. Despite what the Android drones say, 512MB RAM is perfectly adequate for WP7 since it's much leaner and more efficient that Android. While the Lumia 800 looks just like the N9, you say this as if the N9 wasn't released just last month in only limited markets. Nokia took a brave and bold step with the switch to WP7, but it was the right choice. |
