Job Title: Head Of Commercial Location: Lagos Years of experience: minimum of 7 years in Marketing Qualification: MBA preferred. Salary: 600k gross Job Description: Develop, lead and manage all commercial (business and/or financial) activities of the company and ensure the achievement of revenues, EBITDA and profitability in line with approved budgets as well as maintaining a robust customer database for business sustainability. Job Responsibilities: 1.Develop and effectively implement core business and financial strategies of the company. 2. Sensitise the sales team on the new business opportunities within various business sectors as well as develop competitive strategies to grow the business and leverage on market data to drive company growth and profitability. 3. Define priority for the business and work with other managers to implement the company’s longterm business strategies. 4. Solve customer needs and concerns through product innovations as well as understand accurately business needs and expectations, opportunities and threats for the company and share these insights with top management. 5. Assisting in recruiting top talent into the sales force where necessary whilst motivating, and retaining the sales team through appropriate training, mentoring and succession planning. 6. Prepare and present annual business plans to management with periodic updates as requested. 7. Ensure weekly, monthly and yearly budget achievement in all parameters including Revenue, EBITDA and Net Profit Margin. 8. Develop the marketing strategy for new and existing products; oversee and evaluate market research and adjust marketing strategy to meet changing markets and competitive conditions 9. Develop and recommend product positioning to produce the highest possible long-term market share. 10. Establish and maintain a consistent corporate image throughout all categories of products and service offerings by the company 11. Undertake continuous analysis of competitive environment and consumer trends so as to proffer effective value propositions to the customer. 12. Conducting market research and analysis to create detailed business plans on commercial opportunities (expansion, business development etc.) 13. Quarterly appraisals of all team members and collation of such reports for onward submission to the HR Department 14. Work with Human Resource Department to identify and justify relevant training needs of the team 15.
