Treat a Virtual Interview As if it is a Physical Interview.

Dear Candidates,

You must understand how virtual interview is to Recruiters.

No matter how good you are at what you do some factors you do not take note of can hinder you from being selected.

Below are some actions carried out by candidates that will not make a recruiter select them during the virtual interview;

👉When you come for virtual interviews, you wait for the recruiter to tell you to turn on your video before you do.

👉Some candidates will stay in the toilet, a Noisy environment and t, and some stay on the construction site.

👉Some candidates will be looking left and right if someone in their office is coming, distracting the entire process.

👉Some candidates will wear shirts with vulgar inscriptions on them.

👉Some candidates negate the power of a good network. You keep logging in and out every 5 minutes, this can be very distracting and will make recruiters not get the best assessment of you.

👉Some candidates will be talking with the microphone muted, and the recruiter will keep asking them to unmute several times before they do so.

👉Some candidates will log in with video on but the microphone is not connected, you need to stay telling them how to use the virtual space.

👉Lying that their camera is not working.

I interviewed a candidate who lied that her video was bad, but during the process of the interview, she mistakenly touched the video button and we found out she was smoking with her wig off. Immediately she found out, she left the virtual meeting and never came back.

We must take note of these factors that can affect the success of Virtual Interviews to ensure we do better going forward
