It is this claim of investment they all use to gaslight the public when they go on their jamboree yet nothing on ground to show for it Since he grabbed office, Tinubu has run to nothing less than 7 conferences. Yet the economy is still in ICU with no respite in sight 1 Like |

casualobserver:your opinion makes no sense, so 1400 people are needed to sign deals? As long as the govt has a representative which ever deal the govt needs to sign will be signed, you don't need 1400 people for that how many signatures can be in a document by the way, you make it seem like every tom dick and Harry who works for the govt can just sign deals. In corporate world and in govt only management/executive level staff can sign deals, in this case whatever deal is to be signed by the govt can only be signed either by the president or a minister or the head of an MDA, now tell me again what 1400 people were doing there? If not for jamboree. 3 Likes |

Some Nigerians are highly hypocritical. You will be surprised to find out that many of the people and or their relatives, who went to the summit as Civil servants, house reps members etc, are among the people shouting Presidency took 1,411 people to Dubai here. Election losers will do anything to distract the public with fake news and half truths 1 Like 1 Share |

casualobserver: Nigeria always "sourcing for funds". you are saying it as if you were born yday. how do you take 1000+ people to a climate change gathering and you say you are sourcing for fund? which climate related and green energy projects does Nigeria presently have ongoing? the IG of Police was also on that list and was in Dubai. pls what is the connection between climate change and Nigerian police? 1 Like |

Thanks again for your responses however I was expecting specific figures and answers to my questions raised You couldn't put a figure to the so called monies raised from previous summits talk more of how they were spent. You couldn't put a figure to the breakdown of the 1411. The 9 you made mention of is inclusive in the 422 delegation of the FG. No information has been released yet on the states. You also made hopeful projections to justify huge expenditures to a summit where Nigeria has no appreciable history of significant contribution in green house initiatives as a government. Again I ask you if there is need to carry 1411 to Dubai with a sizeable portion of that at the country's expense to make presentations that could comfortably been made by 10% of that number. I would think that the quality of the presentation(s) would not be determined by the quantum of contingent to the summit. The important thing is to have a contingent and a high quality one at that strong in content and not on estacode. |

Foolish govt. They would have made a case for Lagos state which stands to be submerged between the years 2040-50 due to climate change and its consequent sea level rise. Back home now, what measures are they going to put in place to make sure regions that are prone ro catastrophic impacts are protected? Your guess is as food as mine. 1 Like |
