Lagos and filth are like 5 and 6.
The reason is because where people are not suppose to reside they reside there eg on water canals, right of way and government property and then they constitute nuisance to those places.
The second reason is the bad culture of indiscriminate dumping of refuse anywhere
Third reason is lawlessness!
Fouthly, markets in the wrong places eg residential areas with markets and stalls that have not been approved.
It all doesn't make any sense.
Until there is a proper orientation about environmental laws, don't expect any change.
Then lastly slums and ghettos accommodate all forms of miscreants, thugs, area boys ,cultists and gang lord's.
That is what occurs all along

Absolutely filthy. Absolutely disgusting. To compound, the abokis have converted the areas to their homes, their kwande shops, their second hand household equipment shops.

It does not end with clearing the areas. There must be regular announcement. A few days ago I got to Oshodi interchange to get a bus to Ikorodu. I found that those removed a few weeks ago from the railway line have returned. All those eleran, oni tomato, bend down select, have all returned.

Regular monitoring is needed. Also the monitors must be monitors for compliance.

True. Also, the views of the National Theatre, Iganmu and Ijora areas from the Blue Line aren't good at all.
