I Need Urgent Postgraduate Advice by NaughtyBee91: 5:39pm On Dec 05, 2023 |
I need input on the following. I am a graduate of a Nigerian Federal University with a 2.2 CGPA in Educational Foundations (Economics Option). I want to reorganize my professional future. Now my question is, I want to change to either Business Administration or Information Technology for a Master's Degree: 1. Will it be possible to make this change after having done a Post Graduate Diploma in one of the said disciplines, for example Information Technology?. Is this even possible?. 2. If possible, which private universities can I limit my search to?. 3. Would it not be better to do a direct entry for a B.Sc. degree in one of the above disciplines, and which private university would be recommended?. 4. Can I apply for Masters in Information Technology in a European University with a Nigerian University Post Graduate Diploma?. |

Honestly, I find it baffling that the Nigerian education system has been structured in a way that Nigerians suffer to make and take decisions. I can relate. I quite understand what you are possibly going through. However, I will suggest you look towards a master in business education or education management or pure/applied economics or any other related field. This will allow you to take upward leap with gradual deviation. You may later decide to take a doctoral study in business administration or management or economics or any other area you later develop interest. In my opinion, the PGD route is a very tough, needless and expensive voyage which you can avoid. Good enough, you can afford one of the private universities, that, makes it easier for you to get admission on a more flexible note. You just have to channel the fund you want to use for PGD into one of the masters I suggested up there. PS: In whatever decision you take, please give your best and hit a good grade in order to convince anyone who scrutinizes your CV. 1 Like |
