BBNaija's Doyin has taken a stand against the habit of Nigerians who criticize young women for marrying older, wealthy men.

In response to the recent backlash received by the reigning Miss Universe, Mitchel Ihezue, following the announcement of her marriage to an older man, Doyin expressed her disagreement with the notion that true love can only be found in a relationship with a poor man.

She argued that society often labels women who choose to marry “up” as gold diggers.
