Good day Nairalanders, I parked my car (2007 Honda CR-V ) in one of my neighbors compound, covered it with car cover and travelled. Behold, when I came back to go pick my car, I noticed that the door knob has been tampered but they didn't get access to the car and I immediately rushed to the bonnet, it has been knocked open.

It was then I noticed that the car has been tampered with and nicely covered back. I called my mechanic to come and check all that is missing in the car. True true, the thief did me dirty.

The fuse box is missing, the compressor was stolen, many wires were cut and some other parts were stolen.

Since I came back, I have tried to fix the car but can't find the exact fuse box that matches my car. I have gotten 2 fuse boxes at Mgbuka Obosi but none of them worked. Please I really need help.🙏🙏🙏🙏

The thief also cut the battery terminal head. I have been wondering who could pull such a stunt on my car, whether it's a mechanic, electrician, iron condemn people or just a random street urchin.

My advice. Doesn't the car have a factory alarm.didnt the alarm go off. Secondly I won't lie to u. Once factory fitted has been tampered with.e don be.car would be having serious unending electrical and mechanical issues. Pls sell the car and use the money to do give away.please. I used this car that year and I sold it when the cats were stolen.i was now getting 14mpg on a whole 4plugs. Sell the crv as scrap.highest 1.5m. E don old and don dey rust

My neighbor was aware that I traveled but was not aware that the car was tampered cos it was covered. Guys normally play football on weekends in our compound and the fear of breaking the glasses made me move the vehicle.

I removed the battery cos it was a bit long travel. Electrician is suggesting I get a complete engine wire that comes with fuse box. Don't know if it will work.

Chia na the harness wire them cut so. This is clear wickedness oh. This is not just about stealing but wickedness

Anyway good luck. But remember naija rewires are wicked and notorious .they would couple your car and it will work fine for 1 week. U might not be lucky next week..when you park your car. Off engine.press lock for remote.begin bounce dey gower u dey go.abi u no see the maybach wey burn for lagos.na wrong rewiring after about a week. Just sell the crv for peace of mind and if its American specs.no even bother.it will. Have both electrical and mechanical issues. Our rewires no dey go skool.them go connect black wire to green wire..red wire to blue wire b4 u know it obd scanner go show u diff codes from gear to engine to throttle,fuel02 sensor.infact as obd scanner go deyhammer u with diff error codes,e go be like say u want craise .rewires are bastards

Fuse box ain't enough, buy the complete wiring harness and fuse box. Don't waste your money. A experienced electrician will advise you better

So sorry for your loss. Same thing almost happened to me last few weeks, thieves on rampage even during daytime. Get someone in Ladipo International Market to get those scarce parts for you ,then waybill.

Sorryooo ....though u did well by removing your car battery...however I believed u should have make sure that the compound is not usually lonely during the day...such lonely environment embolden thus petty thieves
