The local governments should be empowered more and handed more responsibilities, this is what we all should be fighting for as a people, the years of military govts have killed governance in this country.

The lgc is the closest to the people,and should be the main arm of govt in charge of the basic things like security, education, health, pipe borne water, power transmission, agriculture, etc, if you have a problem with these simple things its easier fo go face your lgc than waiting aimlessly for one useless governor or someone in abuja to get things working.

Unfortunately we are blindly preoccupied with apc/lp/pdp or igbo vs yoruba vs hausa foolishness while things keep getting rotten, while the wicked governors have reduced the lgcs to errand boys.
