Since the introduction of Hire Ride or Share Ride (Uber , Bolt etc) in Nigeria, Nigerians has found this vehicle to be Reliable, low maintenance routine & fuel saving vehicles, which tops it as 1st Choice for the business, not just the business idea people only but also Civil servants as also adopted and inherited the Urge to own one and maintain their low or managing incomes.

Maintenance: it has become effort needless to get a technician or mechanical expert to maintain or fix this vehicle when at fault , including randomly mechanic along express when on journey far away from home with little or no history needed by artisan to commend work when invited.

Challenges:
Theft of car itself
Vandalism of the car
High price and availability of inferior parts for replacements.

Many people have been robbed , dispossessed of their property, even loss of life over this vehicle today, even spent a lot replacing stolen parts.

Some have since moved their bedroom from building of their home and now situated in thecar as form of protection Is it a wise decision to own One today hen you save fuel, money for FUEL to later purchase missing parts

I never liked corolla because it's an ugly car. It's probably the only one car that has managed to stay ugly with every new model over the years but one thing is certain. It's a very reliable car that hardly disappoints. Very loyal.

The body, not sure I understand the writer's opinion as intended. Is the writing opining that it is a good car to buy because of its low cost of maintenance and fuel saving ability or a bad car to buy because of the high rate of theft/vandalism of the vehicle?

For the last question, I think one's intention of owning a car and one's maintenance budget for a car should guide. I have a Corolla and while the OP stated the maintenance cost is cheap, I do not think so when I compare it to my Honda. At each routine maintenance, there's always something to fix and this is just a 3years old vehicle.

Eno dey 2 chop fuel... I remember buying 8k fuel when fuel was 200 naira per litre in my Toyota corolla 2011... I was going from ilorin to Abuja.... D 8k fuel took me to minna... I bought another another 5k in minna to Abuja..... Now ino fit try am again...

If you can afford it and get a good insurance cover for it, as well as strong minded enough to accommodate any shock arising from sudden theft and vandalism, go for it.

It Reminds me of Nokia 3310 (2003-2005), simple design, rugged, easy for repair guys to fix spare part yapa.
