The original Baba Ajasco died early this year around January. He was working with LASG . This could be one of those who replaced him on the soap drama .

Do you remember Papa Ajasco? It's a popular comic book that was created by Wale Adenuga. He made a movie about it in the mid-1980s and then there was a popular situation comedy TV series about it in the 1990s and 2000s.

Abiodun Ayoyinka starred as Papa Ajasco in the movie and TV series. However, there was a time in the 2000s that Wale Adenuga sacked him and some of the other actors because they went to Port-Harcourt to stage a Papa Ajasco show without informing him (I remember the dispute very well).

Femi Ogunrombi, a popular musicologist and stage actor, took over the role of Papa Ajasco. However, Wale Adenuga later reconciled with Abiodun Ayoyinka and brought him back to the show. I remember the first episode in which Mr Ayoyinka came back. There were 2 Papa Ajascos on that episode!


It has just been announced that Femi Ogunrombi is dead, but very many people are mixing him up with Abiodun Ayoyinka.

Abiodun Ayoyinka is the famous Papa Ajasco that you easily recognise, while the late Femi Ogunrombi was the stand-in Papa Ajasco.
