In documents recently obtained, it has been established that the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde and his cronies are looking to demolish one of the heritages of Oyo State - the renowned Agodi Gardens, Ibadan - to give way to a residential estate for his cronies and himself.

Agodi Gardens is a botanical haven where numerous trees in existence for hundreds of years as well as flora native to this part of the world. It is one of Oyo State's prime tourist destinations and is easily at par with the status of Lekki Conservative Centre, a world wide renowned ecological conservation site.

Please we need the good people of Oyo State and eco-activists to rise to the occassion by stopping the illegal conversion of Agodi Gardens to commercial use.

An injuction order was filed by concerned individuals at the Federal High Court in Ibadan yesterday however we know that governments can be selfish and will go ahead to clear these trees without any conscience so we need the good people to lend their voices to this cause
