On March 17, 2000, about 700 individuals were imprisoned in " The Ark, " a religious center in South West Uganda. No one could get out because all the doors and windows were nailed shut. The structure was set on fire and burned to the ground.


And The victims were members of the Movement for the Restoration of the Ten Commandments of God, a religious sect run by Reverend sister Credonian Mwerinde a former bar owner, prostitute, and a murderer who would later become a catholic nun and a visionary, and some of her partners were former priest of the Catholic Church!

Their group had several crazy believes and practices, and amongst them was that the world would end on January 1, 2000.

Members were not only burnt alive, but others were also stabbed and strangled to death, While some victims died as a result of a blow to the head, others died as a result of sulfuric acid being thrown on them, among other brutal and despicable deaths. But why were they killed by their own leaders in such a brutal way?
