I fomo'ed a trade yesterday, and after thinking about it when I closed my MT5, I had to open it again and close the trade even though it worked out and was in floating profits (already did 1:1rr). It would have dropped me some 1:2rr profit if I had left it. But I just couldn't withstand breaking my own personal rules after many bitter lessons doing that has taught me.

It finally dawned on me yesterday that I'd rather lose following my rules than win not following them.
So seeing this here just when I needed it most is like a huge relief that yes, I did the right thing. Thank you so much for sharing this.

This is the screenshot of the trade: Was waiting for it around 1.27579, but when I realized it wouldn't come down that much, I rushed in at that 1.27666 and it worked out as seen.

On CADJPY, I am going lomg and my target is 114.732 (1st tp) and 116.568 (2nd tp).

Yesterday oil prices continued their increase and reached a high of 75.54 before the price of WTI oil fell to a low level of 72.42 on June 4. The ECB cut its benchmark interest rate by 25 basis points to 4.25% from 4.5% at its meeting last Thursday, June 6, this is the first cut since 2019. On the other side, the level of expectation that the Fed will cut interest rates in September is also getting higher. Lower interest rates could trigger oil demand again. CME's TheFedWatch tool data shows the probability level of the Fed reducing interest rates in September reached 69%.

For we the USD pairs trader. NFP has shown direction for the rest of the month. If this candle closes strongly like this. I will mostly be on the look out to buy USD pairs daily at every pullbacks after rejections at demand levels.

According to Bloomberg, China's central bank increased its Spot Gold reserves for the 18th consecutive month in April, though its pace of buying slowed as prices hit record highs.

The People's Bank of China (PBOC) has been one of the biggest gold buyers for years, steadily accumulating bullion since 2022. However, gold's steep rally since mid-February, with repeated all-time highs in April and May, dampened demand.

From what I read on twitter, Russia moving their nuclear submarine to Cuba(US territory) could spark another bullishness on gold(being a safe haven instrument) but let's wait and see what happens.

If you are a scalper you will enjoy the instrument, it blesses both buyers and sellers with at least 100pips daily. Unlike other instruments.

The popularity is something else. Most trending pictures and videos of profitable trades on IG, youtube are mostly XAUUSD. So this has made we newbies coming in fall into this trap as well. I refuse to be tempted. If Xau pass left, I go pass right.
