Reno Omokri Has Urged Tinubu To Ban Sport Betting App In Nigeria by thisweekng: 3:54pm On Jan 04 |
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mg5iSPdI2NQ In a surprising turn of events, political activist Reno Omokri has called on Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, The President of Nigeria, to issue an Executive Order authorizing the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) to ban sports betting apps. Omokri's plea is grounded in the belief that such a ban could rapidly improve the economic conditions of a significant portion of Nigerians and contribute to the strengthening of the Naira. Omokri argues that the pervasive gambling culture in Nigeria is wreaking havoc on the nation's youth, leading to a surge in petty crimes. He contends that many young individuals, desperate for funds to sustain their gambling habits, resort to criminal activities as a means to an end. By eradicating the root cause—sports betting apps—Omokri believes the government can tackle both economic challenges and the rise in delinquency simultaneously.

I disagree, like guns its not the gambling that's the problem, it's the people. If you ban gambling, you must ban Pentecostal churches and their prosperity pushing Pastors because their ethos is very similar. |

Reno abeg leave matter jor, if the betting apps are suspended in Nigeria, what about Nigerian youths abroad?. One hater lost $2000 betting against super Eagles just two days ago. He doesn't even live in Nigeria, the craze for fast money won't deter youths from gambling, leave betting companies alone jor. |
