Beloved Nlander please I need your opinion on this issue that is shaking my home,my wife and I belong to the Christian faith but we disagree in some things mostly speaking in tongues,I believe speaking in tongues most be influenced by the Holy Spirit not one just blabbing by oneself ,but she believe otherwise that you don’t have to wait for the Holy Spirit one just has to be saying words anyhow, she is that type that pray and fast often and listen and pray along side some pastors online,I don’t have issue with that, where the issue is now. I told her when praying alongside these pastors and watching testimonies, she should not allow our 7years old son to be with her,she was surprised and angry ,she asked why,if I don’t want our son to know how to pray, and also hear testimonies of God’s miracles?I told her not that,i believe in prayers and miracles,4year ago I was hit by chronic disease,I prayed and I was healed,I mean I prayed myself not involving any Pastor,I told her the reason is the boy is too tender to be see some graphic pictures of ppl who say they had so so disease, later they received healing, and hearing name of diseases, problems and all that sort, and watching how these online Pastors praying ,saying one word and say ten unknown words ,children practise more of what they see than hear,Itold her I can’t withstand my 7years old mimicking the Holy Spirit because he watch a Pastor praying that way.she said there nothing wrong if the kid speaks in tongues I told her no,when the boy was 6 she said he is old enough to be baptised I said no .Now she sees me as a devil that I have been hindering her spiritual growth she regretted marrying me.please my ppl advise me. 2 Likes |

You guys should stop misleading people. You can only get cured from a chronic disease, either going to the hospital or you take herbal medicine. exnovio: |

Can't you just take the child away from her when she is looking at the testimonies? You can put the child by your side until she is done with it. And if she disagrees, you ought to involve your families maybe they will talk her out of it. 2 Likes |

kkins25:Why you call me abeg? I say I no be Christian neither do I subscribe to any of the over 47,000 different spins — and counting— on the accounts of Scripture referred to as denominations(all with their own special interpretations of texts) that make up the religion of Christianity abeg! OP claims he was healed because he prayed, but the God of Israel says He does not answer the prayers of the unrighteous. Rather, He pours out His mercy on all mankind, including the atheists, babalawos, and pagans, meaning OP was instead, like many Babalawo clients out there, healed by the mercy of God, and not by his many prayers. His wife's many pastors whom Jesus Christ regarded as false teachers and false prophets equally can't claim to have access to God since, again, God does not answer the prayers of the unrighteous. So, OP himself carries around faulty beliefs such as the one his wife holds to. Wetin' you wan make I tell them then? Happy married life! 2 Likes |

Wahala don burst over nonsense. Since this practice is illogical, there is no way of either proving or disproving it. Join me in the Church of Humanism . Your son will grow into somebody you can be proud of ( epitome of Love your neighbour as yourself) |

I will only say one thing. When God is doing his inspection, HE will ask you, not her to give an accounting of how you managed the family HE handed to you. You are the Head of the family, that includes spiritual head and she ought to listen to you while you listen to Christ. That being said, I hope you have a listening relationship with Christ as He said his sheep hear his voice. Try keeping a covenant time with Him where you pick a particular time in the day every day where you sit in silence and just feed on the word. Remember it's a covenant so be determined to follow through everyday without stopping and you will notice that you will begin to hear the voice and direction of the Lord more clearly especially in your dreams. Contact me via email for more information. I wish you all the best with your family. |

Kobojunkie: There is no way of knowing who is right in this argument because what they are arguing about does not exist. I wish them the best in their marriage. |

This is not true. They each have a responsibility to their child. Mom007: 1 Like |

Klass99: Are you for real? And a woman? Maybe there is hope. The modern woman doesn't believe in the headship of a man, in practice. The religious ones do everything to avoid the biblical passages that reference man as the head. This particular issue of man leadership in spiritual things have destroyed many homes. Even if I lead prayers for hours, my wife will still complain that it's not long enough to elicit God's blessings. She doesn't not only speak in this trained tongue (yes she attended a class forit), but writes her prayers request in gibberish (she calls it tongue), so that I, the "devil" cannot read it. Op, I will ask you to watch your back. This kind of stuff if not handled well, and early enough, will end in separation at best, or kpai you at worst. She would be told of certain things to do, to prove that you are the devil. 2 Likes |

Even though your wife has a self-imposed problem, I don't see anything wrong in allowing the child to follow her watch church stuff online. You are merely projecting your religious incompatible on the young boy. |

exnovio: I agree with you, speaking in tongues has to be influenced by Holy Spirit (Joel 2:28-32). Speaking in tongues is one of the wonders in verse 30 where one speaks in (real) language(s) that is alien(unknown) to him/her. Just like the Pentecostal experience(Acts 2:1-13) |
Re: Different View,my Wife Is Seeing Me As A Devil by Kobojunkie: 5:21pm On Jan 05 |
TYCO77:Joel 2 vs 28 -32 says nothing regarding speaking in tongues. Rather what Joel wrote of was that the Spirit of God would be poured out on all in the Land during the last days of God's Jugdement, an event which took place over 1900 years ago. |
