Former Rivers State University Vice Chancellor blasts Education sector in Nigeria.

*Professor Barineme Fakae* , Former Vice Chancellor of Rivers State University has cried out over the worsening standard of education in Nigeria. According to him Nigeria's education sector is becoming a disgrace. Professor Fakae said Nigerian graduates can not defend their certificates and are unable to pass job interviews.
He called on the Government to introduce computer based learning, suggesting lecturers shouldn't be marking their course script after examination.

Why won't the tertiary education system be bastardized, when a lot of emphasis is placed on "degrees" for one to get employment in most outfits.

A good 2nd tier level education is enough education for anyone to perform proficiently in most jobs in Nigeria.

Our quest for bragging rights has caused "kangaroo" degree awarding shacks to spring up at all corners.

So why won't we be deludged by graduates who can barely string 2 sentences together without commiting a grammatical blunder.

This man really raised the standard of that school during his days....
