Nairaland is toxic. I say this as a person who has been here on and off since 2006. We have had battle of the sexes and in the end it was mostly banter. What do women bring to the table vs it is men's responsiblilty to provide vs women are not true feminists.

We could accuse each other of hypocrisy or double standards and occasionally there would be a big gotcha and a poster would be thoroughly embarrassed. But there was no hatred.

Now we have a bunch of kids who have taking western incel culture, African patriarchy, lower class transactional relationships, male chauviinism and turned it all into one big mess of mysognist hatred.

It is a very big problem as I am not sure a lot of these boys can maintain offline relationships with anything other than the most weak willed and accommodating of women.

I initially wanted to ignore this post completely but I think this will be a very good time to address this issue

Half of the threads you mentioned there were simply me pushing back on mischievous monikers trolling me into annoyance

Defending myself now is man hate?

The rest were simply me expressing personal opinions aka “I want a tall, dark and handsome man with a head full of hair” and “men ought to be more sexual responsible because of the social ills irresponsibility causes”

Funniest thing is that in all of those threads, 99.9% of the vulgar words and insults came from male monikers who were either trolling me or outright insulting me

Do you know how it feels to come back from your place of work or church or whatever and log on to your account only to meet hundreds of mentions filled with nothing but insults and rape threats?
