The Minister of Labour and Employment, Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, has called on the leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) to join forces with the government to ensure a strike-free 2024 academic year.

This information was released in a statement signed by the Director, Press and Public Relations of the ministry,Olajide Oshundun.

According to the statement, the minister said it is now imperative for every sector of the country, including education, to be on the same page to achieve Tinubu’s administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Onyejeocha made the call during a round table discussion between the federal government and the leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) on the way forward to ensure smooth academic session in Nigeria in 2024 and beyond.
