The most anticipated Premier League match of the weekend will see Manchester United host Tottenham at Old Trafford this Sunday, Bet Extract reports.

Spurs are one spot and one point behind their North London rivals, Arsenal, in fifth place. Before their November loss to Chelsea, which initiated a five-game losing skid, they were the only unbeaten team in the league. It also happened to be the start of some very bad injury luck, as Micky van de Ven and James Maddison sustained permanent injuries.

They are still only six points behind Liverpool at the top of the table and three behind Aston Villa in second place, despite the momentary dip in performance.

United has played nine games thus far, winning ten of them, and is presently ranked seventh. They may even slip a spot before the game begins as a result of being eight points behind their rivals.

Just 22 goals have been scored by Manchester United in 20 games this season. Only two teams, Sheffield United and Burnley, who are in the bottom two spots, have scored fewer goals. They are the only team in the top half with a goal differential of -5 due to their total of 27 goals conceded.
