Give me half of an evident to support that claim. Govt and embassy are aware of what?

Yes i'm aware of this sort of fraudulent activities and i have been warning people over 10yrs now, so when people open a thread like this to misinform others i have to speak out.

I don't have any sympathy for people like the op.

Obviously you are supporting people like the op

Well, I'm not in a position to speak for the OP and I also stated that I don't encourage unscrupulous activities. With my basic training in AML, I can easily tell a "baked" bank statement, the govt overlook some of these things but I won't go into all of that. Please keep sounding such warnings, that's highly appreciated.

But I'll share my experience with you. My brother and I decided to sponsor a relative to a football academy in the UK because of his talents. It was very expensive but we could easily afford it because I had a good paying job. My statement was used and he travelled. Unfortunately I was impacted by the tech layoffs in January of last year. With the payment plan we were still able to pull it off. Now tell me if the academy had change the payment plan, how will I be able to cope? Life happens and situations changes.
Like I stated earlier your warnings is appreciated.

I am there now.. Having spent 25 million from Nigeria the school ask me to return if I can't accept their plan.
I ask them to spread the plan to June or let me pay 1200 pounds per month they said no.

I ask why the sudden change, this is what they have been doing. They said not anymore
I am just telling Nigerians not to waste funds because not everyone can bare what I am passing through now

Ha! You spent that much for that yeye school Very sorry about your experience

The example you gave got nothing to do with this case.

This is case of fraud right from visa application, some Nigerians are not smart, Nigerian is hard no doubt but you put together the little you have and pay to the school and the embassy then came to the UK empty handed with no money to survive so as to benefit from all you have spent.

Running around for jobs, unable to attend lectures, no peace of mind and at the end you are likely to be sent home and your visa curtailed.

How foolish!!

The school is actually too nice to even give student payment plan after getting the visa claiming to have the full amount required to study in the UK.

Who is cheating who? You decided to buy bank statement and pay the interest just to get the visa, you came to the UK without that money you claimed to have, the school demanded for their money and you are here sending false alarm?

How many Nigerians can afford full tuition payment? Then don't start something you can not finish, where i came from there is a name they call someone who wants to have something he can not afford.

Hahahaha you're so funny. But you actually said the whole truth. Nigerians will never learn

happening on Canada too , the economic situation has led to scarcity of jobs for students. Many Nigerian students are stranded right now as they came with zero funds.

Influencers who came 5 to 10 years ago are also not helping matters with contents like how i came to Canada as a student with just 100 dollars.

Which research are u talking about.

I have people going there as stated they changed their payment stuff suddenly.
Paying all fees in just 2 months is not fair.
What they should do is to spread the payment as they have been doing.

I researched, asked a lot of people how they are paying fees and it falls in line to what I can afford given the time gap.

Dont mind him.
Even civil servant won't be able to save that funds throughout their 35 years of service.

How many people have 40million in their bank account in Nigeria?

Cos before you school in the UK you should have 10k pounds living expenses, 14k school fees, plus other fees, visas etc then put it at 26000 times 1600 =41 million.
The only option is to get 60% then work and fund the rest...
Indians, Chinese, Bangladesh etc are all here working more than Nigerians. Talk about factory work give it to the Indians etc.

That's what they use to pay their fees.

Why are Indians running away when UK banned dependent?

It's not vilifying
The UK visa process requires you to prove that you have full funds for housing and school fees. That's the basis for you getting approved the visa.
That's what the school expects you to have.
You can not then blame a school for changing it's payment plan when you arrive.. university is well within their rights to do so. Even Nigerian universities don't accept payment plan you pay upfront

Education is a business...it fails when it's run on 'credit'

The risk any intl student in the UK takes when they do not have full funds for school and housing is what the OP is facing.

That risk has now become an issue and consequences follow. That's life.

Pls note that for German student visa that money you claim you have would be in a block account that you can not do abracadabra and run it.

That being said lessons have been shared... hopefully others use this make better choices or not.

Aside from the deposit I paid from Nigeria, I haven't paid anything here. I have £6k balance to pay. We are to pay 2500 by February, then another £2.5k by June then 1k by August. I plan to pay them 4k by this February so I can't be left with 2k...

I applied to more than 10 uni. Almost all gave me admission. I had to weigh my options considering school fees and payment plan.

Each night I cry my eyes out. Why did I chose this school for God's sake
I actually paid 4500 from naira with black market then another 4000 here with black market.

I know your father is tinubu with stolen government funds.

Come to Nigeria and work n safe 40million naira for education

We are the ones who knows where we are coming from and has vowed to change the narrative.

Even Indians work to pay school fees.
Why are they running away when they said no dependant?

Most schools in the UK gives flexible payment plan.
Most spread their payment wide enough to allow students pay with ease irrespective of whether you are an international student or not and this is what I will recommend Nigerians to check before they choose a school grin
but now I won't advise anyone to enter UK now through school

There are few schools that don't give payment plan and their list are on nairaland here and today northumbria has joined the list.
Payment plan is very important. Unless you are money loaded or related to our politicians who has impoverished the population through their massive looting

International students have the greatest impact on UK economy than any other country. I disagree that universities that initially accepted a payment plan can later change it during the session without consideration to the students. Do you realize many genuine students will be affected? Are you aware many institutions have a "need-blind" or "need-aware" admissions policy? Even locals drop out of school due to financial challenges.

To prove and to have is different. If the govt is serious let the unis implement a policy where payment of full tuition is compulsory or have a blocked account like in Germany. Not some gimmicks where you attract the students with a payment plan and later shift the goal post during the match. That's unacceptable and should be called out.

We've both agree that it unacceptable. On the other hand schools using payment plans to hoodwink students and then want full tuition or changing previous agreement is deception. Let me know from the beginning what I'm getting into, it's a mutual relationship. I'm paying for the service and not demanding a free service. You can't graduate without paying in full anyway. So let's also call out deceptive institutions.
