In a decisive move to curb the activities of recalcitrant commercial motorcyclists, commonly known as “okada,” the Lagos State Task Force on Environmental Sanitation and Special Offences has impounded a total of 174 motorcycles in a renewed weeklong operation across the state. This stern enforcement, led by the agency’s chairman, Shola Jejeloye, is part of an ongoing effort to bring an end to the operations of these motorcyclists, who have been deemed to pose risks to the lives of Lagosians.
