Serious and organised countries have theirs at 4/5, some even 7. But in Nigeria, people already want to dump their children in creche from the age of 6 months 3 Likes |

4 or 5 is the best age. He is mentally and socially developed and capable to assimilate, ponder and ask questions. You can teach a kid 1-10 at 2 years old, but he is not mentally capable to know what they mean or uses. He is only memorizing. 8 Likes |

brain54: 4 years that is already in nursery 2. No parent want the child to be behind his mates. So you see them dictating to schools where their child should be and if the child is assessed and qualifies, he's going regardless of the age. Even some that don't qualify, parents will still push. Na your money kill am. 2 Likes |

Love800:creche is baby group (1 to 2yrs), kindergarten is pre-nursery (2 to 3yrs) while nursery is pre-basic (3 to 5yrs) (basic is primary, from 5 to 9yrs/10yrs depending on the sch). I stand to be corrected. 5 Likes 1 Share |

remsonik: It not so, there are some kids that are intelligent that needs to be enrolled in school as soon as possible... My daughter got enrolled at 1 and half years, she was even the best in her class, because she was way intelligent, and school needs to start setting in, if not she might loose the intelligent nature to something else of not quickly nurtured... She's 3years old and in KG2 now and she's currently leading her class 2 Likes |

Some nursery sch will said they follow British standard, but a child can only start in abroad from 4yrs. I will advise you should have reason (Working class parent) to put ur child in sch at earlier age like 2,3yrs. Otherwise, please home school your child till they are 4yrs. 1 Like |

wunmi590:. It's so,does she have psychological intelligence, yes she might be leading her class and be the best in her studies but does she have other types of intelligence that will help her psychology, social interactions, emotions etc...and every other ways to live life right Well its because the government and the economy of Nigeria is poorly ruined and a graduate above 26 years can't get a job that's why you see it as fine |
