Senator Orji Uzor Kalu: December / January to Remember; Staff, Family, Community and Constituency Incorporated

Like every other festivities, the Christmas season is a time to show benevolence as Christians celebrated the birth of Christ. Dr Orji Uzor Kalu the Senator representing Abia North in his usual tradition, threw more lights to the 2023 Christmas celebrations, into the new year that witnessed the ever memorable Igbere Cultural Festival.

In his tradition while in office as a former governor of Abia state, where he usually gave the 13th month salary to all state workers in Abia state, the replication of this gestures was extended to his over 13 thousand staff. The Senator representing Abia north, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu gave #125,000.00, 25kg bag of rice, 10kg of beans and 10kg of garri, to all his staffers to cushion the economic stress and to enable them enjoy the tidings of the 2023 Christmas celebrations.

The 2023 Christmas can viably be quoted to be “well enjoyed by every connect with Dr Orji Uzor Kalu.” The fun that came with the unbelievable fireworks at the residence of Dr Orji Uzor Kalu, that ushered in the 2024 year of the Tinubu’s ‘Renewed Hope’ is a signal of favourable things to come.

The ever green Igbere Cultural Festival lite the atmosphere on the 2nd and 3rd day of January 2024. In collaboration with DSTV/GOTV, Igbere people can reliably say, “Our cultural values are well protected”, as the Orji Uzor Kalu Foundation demonstrated her zeal to keep the culture of Igbere kingdom alive.

The Igbere Cultural festival of 2024 would be discussed for so long. Participants, the family of Orji Kalu including grand child, guests, children and neighbouring communities have lot’s to talk about in memory of the 13 communities of Igbere Kingdom in their flamboyant performance of the cultural heritages of the land.

The extension of the reason for the Christmas season was spread through the 5 local government of Abia North as Dr Orji Kalu gave extensively: bags of rice, beans, garri, sowing machines, grinding machines and cash to the APC, OUK Movements, Reality Organisation, (in each wards) traditional rulers: lots more and too numerous to mention.

This personal gifts to the people is not on the account of his Senatorial transit, rather, in his unflinching support to humanity: This is what Orji Kalu is known to do for decades and would continue to do, irrespective of political attachments.

With activities too many, the Senator representing Abia North Dr Orji Uzor Kalu’s concern on the security of his people, he donated in his personal capacities some Hilux van to the Nigeria Police Force and the Igbere Vigilante Group. In the presence of the Abia state commissioner of Police, Kene Onwuemelie, the donation of the four security patrol Hilux vans to the Nigerian Police Force Area Commands and to the Igbere Vigilante group, could be said to be a proactive measure to keeping the people safe, adding values to the efforts of the Abia state governor Dr Alex Otti and to the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces and President of the federation, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in tackling security.

More are expected to come from the stable of Dr Orji Uzor Kalu. His commitments to working for the good of the people under his jurisdiction is a mandate in the oath he took at the assumption of public office which he had kept to all fulfilment's, obvious in all his achievements thus, for the people of Abia north and to Nigerians in general.
