The 2024 Africa Cup of Nations, also referred to as CAF 2024 or 2024 AFCON, has officially begun. Ivory Coast is hosting the games this time around; they are held in the nation for the second time, after the 1984 competition.
The competition was originally scheduled to take place in the summer of 2023, but due to worries about the summer weather in Ivory Coast, the CAF postponed it in July 2022 to January 13–February 11, 2024. TECNO is one of the brands sponsoring AFCON this year.
Of all the African countries, 54 teams initially registered for the qualifying, but only 48 teams were placed in a group of twelve following a series of football matches and sanctions.

The games are going well for the 24 qualified teams; but, one encounter that caught us all off guard was Senegal vs. Ivory Coast, the host country. Following ninety minutes of an amazing and thrilling game, the match finished in a 1-1 draw, forcing penalties to be used. Unbelievably, the host country, Ivory Coast, won a heart-wrenching penalty shootout 4-5 to eliminate the reigning champions and advance to the quarterfinals. Anticipating with great excitement how this competition will unfold.
