Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have attacked the palace of the Olukoro of Koro in Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State. The traditional ruler, Oba Peter Segun Aremu, a retired army general, was reportedly shot dead in the palace on Thursday night. His wife and two others were abducted during the attack. Kwara Governor Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq condemned the killing and abduction, urging security agencies to spare no resources in tracking down the perpetrators and bringing them to justice.
