The State Commissioner for Education, Mrs. Idongesit Etiebet, has reiterated the visionary leadership of Governor Umo Eno as well as his significant investment in education in line with the ARISE Agenda.

Etiebet dropped the hint yesterday after an inspection of the soon-to-be-inaugurated Christ the King Model Primary School. The tour, led by Governor Umo Eno, had a highly reputable visitor, the United States Consul General, Hon. Will Stevens, and his team, who were guided around the world-class facility.

During the tour, Governor Umo Eno received admiration from the Consul General, who expressed his gratitude for the State Chief Executive's steadfast commitment to fulfilling promises of democracy.

In a post tour interview, Mrs. Etiebet opined that Akwa Ibom is now a preferred destination for world leaders.

She highlighted the educational strides under the Umo Eno administration, eulogizing the Governor's dedication to providing quality education for Akwa Ibom children. Etiebet added that our wards were now flourishing in character and learning.

Earlier, Hon. Will Stevens, Consul General of the United States to Nigeria, lauded Pastor Umo Eno for the ongoing developmental strides in the state.

He congratulated the Governor for his victory in the March 18, 2023 gubernatorial polls, emphasizing its credibility.

The visibly elated Consul General described Akwa Ibom people as inherently happy, echoing the call for robust partnership made by U.S. Secretary of State Tony Blinken during his recent visit to Nigeria, emphasizing Africa's defining role in the future.

He stated the United States' commitment to Nigeria's economic growth and prosperity, commending Akwa Ibom's government for its remarkable efforts in combating Covid-19, HIV AIDS, and addressing issues around climate change and the extractive industry.
