Offa Volleyball Club expresses heartfelt appreciation to Chief Abdullateef Tayo Shittu, the Aare Aniwura of Offaland, for delivering on his promise. Chief Shittu generously contributed a total sum of N700,000, with N500,000 going to support the club and an additional N200,000 directed towards outstanding players Maryam Ayomide Usman and Aliya Usman, who each received N100,000.

Coach Suleiman Ajeigbe, popularly known as Coach Soba, confirmed the development and extended sincere appreciation to Chief Tayo Shittu for his invaluable support. The gesture demonstrates Chief Shittu’s commitment to the development and success of sports within the Offa community.

He wrote, “I extend my deepest gratitude to Chief Abdullateef Tayo Shittu, the esteemed Aare Aniwura of Offa, for his unwavering support towards Offa Volleyball Club. Chief Shittu’s generous contribution of N700,000, including the substantial support to outstanding players Maryam Ayomide Usman and Aliya Usman, is a testament to his commitment to the growth of sports in our community.

“Chief Shittu’s pledge, made during the memorable novelty match on January 11, 2024, has now materialized, bringing immense joy and encouragement to the entire Offa Volleyball Club. Your benevolence, Chief, not only strengthens our resolve but also propels us towards achieving greater heights in the realm of volleyball.

“On behalf our Chairman Dr. Akeem Oyewale, the entire team and myself, Coach Suleiman Ajeigbe, known as Coach Soba, I want to express our sincere appreciation. It would be recalled that the commitment was made on January 11, 2024, during a spectacular novelty match commemorating the investiture of Sir (Prince) Robert Olusoji Olagunju as the Aremo (Crown Prince) of Offaland.
