Right in this story you all get to understand life in private universities and how they’ve done more harm than good with all students living and campus and won’t be allowed to leave the school gate and other strict rules. Growing up was the best experience ever. I wish I could turn back the hands of time and have those experiences again. I’m from a family of 4. It’s just my brother and I so we had almost everything to ourselves.Dad is into construction and mom is a civil servants so we were quite comfortable. It all started while growing up. We were exposed to technology at a very tender age. We had a desktop then, we’ve had phones since primary school. Our parents made sure we were comfortable. My brother was a very reserved type so he stays at home or he goes to our neighbors house. As for me and my clique then. We were always roaming the street. I got mixed with the street kids because I used to envy how free they get and all that. But I make sure I’m home before 6:30/7pm, because that’s the time my parents comes back. My gang are named Fizi and BigT, they are my childhood friend, we grew up together before Tboy joined us(he’s a twin,he has twin sister). My life changed the moment my parents took me from a private secondary school I started all my life to a public school to write my wave and Neco. That was where my wayward and trouble filled life started. I started having sex, I started smoking, I started moving with the school bad guys. I was like a mini GOD because I came from a private school and I had the charisma. I was ready.

Araromi community school was one of those public schools that they used to fight other schools then. Majority of the male senior students are grownup men. I wondered how they were still in school. My Brother’s name is Ayomide(Ayo).he got admission into Lautech then and was away, so I was left at home most times if I’m not in school till late night when mom and dad comes back.
Russell father was the ceo stedico in Ibadan, it has various bakery, sachet and bottled water branches across the city, Samuel’s parent were into large scale poultry and fishery farming. Public school influence started telling on me,As at 15 years I was already smoking weed. My home buddies started respecting me more because my orientation had changed.Bigt is a dark skinny guy as well as Fizi, I was the only muscular one with potentials. So jamb form came out again, my dad took the form for me I didn’t even bother going for coaching lessons because it was a waste of time. I was home doing my yahoo and making money. The day I went to write my exam inside poly Ibadan, I met two girls Tayo and Jennifer. The both of them have same features but jennifer has a very big ass they are both petite and dark in complexion. The funny thing is they were both students but I met jennifer in the exam hall, she took jamb again. She was sitting very close to me when she started having issues because it was cbt. The school get as e be that year, e small die e no reach poly staff quarters.The school just Dey develop that time, dust just full everywhere. I just Dey see guys Dey wear shirt and trouser some wear tie sef. Then say dem no Dey commot anyhow say na inside school hostel everybody go Dey live. If you wan commot you go go student affairs go sign pass. You have to go to church every Sunday, you have to attend morning devotion every morning, weekly church programs are compulsory, rules just choke anyhow for this school. I told myself I’m not coming back to the school.We got back home that day I assured my dad I wrote the exam well and left the house to meet my guys to gist them. Kenny Dan dey fear say shey dem go lock love of her life for one compound for a long time she no go fit see me anytime wey she want . The next week wey follow am, I see message for my phone say ACU Dan give me admission to study law, I wan faint, my system scatter I wan Dey cry. Because there’s no going back, my popsi Dan Dey plan when dem never send admission letter. Naso I turn Acu student o.Omo I sure say I fail the post Jamb but the school still give me admission. Na those years wey those schools Dey find students. Dem give me admission study Law. Them start Dey call me barrister.

I had a week left to resumption, funny thing about this school is that there’s a list of items to be brought to school. If you carry anything wey no Dey the list dem go help you fling am go outside.It’s an Anglican private university .I force myself follow my mama go market buy everything wey I need. I buy expensive suit join for special occasion those kind law dinner but deep down I no wan go the school, everybody Dey happy for me but na me know Wetin I see for that way when I go write exam, those guys wey not smiling, they looked frustrated. Small time wey remain for me for house I just spend am with my babe Kenny. I dan clear Jennifer that time say my momsi Dey leave and she Dey house during that time so she sef no bother come, I Dey go see am once in a while.First day I resumed school, Acu has 3 boys hostels and 2 girls hostels.
The great Jah Hostel (Joseph adetiloye)aka Colombia,Lagos hostel (Lagos dioceses) and Ibadan hostel (Ibadan diocese).
Jah hostel na him bad boys full. If you see
Jah boys run oooo. It’s extremely large with over 200 rooms, it has 4 floors with a pent house for relaxing. Snookers and table tennis were there and TV for boys to watch ball it has wing A and wing B. It has enough bathrooms and toilets. Jah hostel too big with a lot of vacant rooms after full resumption.
Ibadan hostel na taja teran lol but the level of unity in the hostel is another level. It’s like half of Jah hostel. Wing A and B as well. The only hostel with balcony for each rooms.
Lagos hostel na soft boys full am. Na the hostel fine and clean pass. But na dem Dey suffer pass. Space no Dey there at all
As for the girls they have UFH (university female hostel)and DLW hostel (Diocese of Lagos west hostel)
I found myself in Ibadan hostel, as I enter with my parent dem register me ASAP. Give me room A14. That was how I met Nicholas my first roommate, na church boy but he like woman lol. He’s a church boy that like girls like mad, we got along but he like Dey chop my provisions anyhow. My first night in ACU I was in my room throughout thinking. It’s a kind of room that has four wardrobes at each corner, we used single bunks, and then we have a balcony to chill. We shared toilet and bathrooms, but there’s enough for everybody. Myself and Nicholas were the only ones in room. It was meant to be 4 students in a room but we found just both of us. Not until the real room owners came later in the night. We were asleep around 11pm

Ibadan hostel is a two story building hostel,built at the extreme end of one of the school’s four corners, beside it is Lagos hostel, na pavilion Dey next to am wey big small with better shed. The hostel Dey beside fence the street wey Dey across the fence dem Dey call am okebo in oyo town, it’s a market they sell goats,rams livestocks in general, na Hausa people Dey dull am. Beside the fence na one field wey bush fulll am but na school get the land, na drainage follow am and the main road. So na the market Dey the other side. The side wey my room Dey,I Dey middle floor my room Dey extreme end. We Dey look Lagos hostel from afar Dey shout give dem. Na my from Dey close to laundry and toilet . E Dey face school directly, so I wake up to see the school view. Registrars block, vc block and DLW girls hostel Dey like 10 minutes walk, na health center Dey face am and SDC hall(student disciplinary committee). I’m trying to describe what the school looks like. It’s quite choked up but corners choke and some kind unnecessary field Dey.as time goes on you get to understand more.
That first night, around 11pm we just Dey hear footstep outside for balcony side because na the two window for there we place our bed. Naso we wake up, next thing we Dey hear people Dey climb balcony from ground floor reach our room balcony. Na that night I meet Sir Tommy, Baba Raji and Cross. Their face hard no be small them be big bros wey we just Dey fear look their face, first thing Baba Raji ask na “ what are you doing in my room ?”
Nicholas no fit talk but base on where I come from, if senior man ask you question look down,calm down answer am with respect. I tell am say na hostel porters put us for the room say na the room wey remain be that. He start to Dey ask for him things, we Dan arrange am for am package for one wardrobe. He say he go come back,them free us climb stairs go upstair.

First week for freshers is for orientation classes, all 100 level students are scheduled for classes about the school and all, early in the morning we go first do sport from 6am to 8am. Na coachie Dey train us, the man get Kleg like this , Dey drive one old Benz we Dey call Range Rover,that man sabi drill. First day of drilling, me and Nicholas go field for cold hammathan morning, girls full everywhere anyhow I just Dey look everybody, as per first time all of us just Dey get to know each other.
