Nigeria is a Great country, we are getting there. This achievement and that of Dangote when in optimal operations will reduce our import demand statistics, improve our Ballance of trade and payment deficit, fractionally reduce inflation etc. Kudos to PMB & PBAT. 1 Like |

lexy2014: Oga lexy, go and set up your refinery, and sell the fuel that you produce at N10. Nigerians would worship you as their new saviour. Good morning. I am not answering your questions, by the way. You already know the answers. Now go and build. 1 Like |

Tinubu should end all existing contracts with Shell and other foreign entities in the Oil fields. We have brains to run our oil and gas sector. We have basically shut ourselves out of the major resources explorations. We do not have basic electricity because of all these nonsense. By the way, how any Oil Wells/Oil Fields and Gas fields do we have, and can be we list the names of all the owners so we can really know if this country is for everyone of us or we are just occupying the empty land while others are mining the resources and getting richer than everyone else? |

nairalanda1: did you set up any refinery that makes you to be churning the theories on how a refinery should be run? since you are an expert on the subject matter, then you should have no issues answering the questions: 1. is it because fuel was not being sold at a profit that made the refinery not to work well in years past and to eventually collapse? 2. was it subsidy that held down the price of the fuel that the refinery was selling? 3. how was subsidy free money r has the meaning of subsidy changed? 4. you seems to be giving new meaning to words in order to drive this your demented theories |

ajepako: Refining fuel costs at least N700 or more self. NNPC cannot sell fuel at N200 from that refinery (unless the value of the naira improves, and it won't happen because the government has no ideas on how to do that |

Floky215: If they are earning a sufficent revenue to do so. WHy isn't government subsidising food then? Because if they did, they would be in debt worse than what we have now. The only subsidy that would work for petrol is a tax break for the refineries. Nothing more. |

'..as Shell supplies 475,000 barrells oil' Does the oil belong to Nigeria or Shell? If Shell is transporting Nigeria oil because they were hired to do so, you cannot say that Shell supplied the oil. Stupid and misleading journalism. |

Akamon: which achievement are you referring to? how is Dangote refinery, a private endeavour, an achievement when all the government refineries are comatose? where is Dangote going to get crude oil from? how will all these things you are stating going to reduce demand statistics, improve balance of trade and reduce inflation? |
