Yes..

Yes.

They tell in signs and acts especially if they do not want to tell you in words expressly so you won't be afraid.

My Dad did all these before he passed... Was too blind then to understand these things...

However, I'm overjoyed that he passed away a child of God, and he has visited me often in dreams

It depends. If a kidnapper or Boko Haram are standing in your front pointing a gun at your head fully intending to snuff out your life of course you know you are going to die. Even aside such obvious situations like dying in a car or helicopter crash, some people can tell. When my grandmother was going to pass at 88 years of age, she knew it was time. After my mum saw her for the last time alive, she told us grandma is going to die soon and she passed on the next day.

On the other hand many people die with no inkling that the end has come. People who otherwise we thought are health just drop dead for one reason or another, most often health related. Or those who through some freak accident or unfortunate chance get killed.

It all depends on the circumstances of the death.
