What is your skill set? Do you have skills that would get you a good job in Europe or the US?
Are you looking to use the student route? If so do you have money for fees and money to maintain yourself?
Have you decided which country you want to migrate to?

The only advise I can give you is do your research VERY WELL. Japa is not for everybody. Some folks make a good success of it, others are still struggling many years later.

Honestly this is what am trying to point out.

Please mention let me know.... US, Canada, Germany, Australia, France, new Zealand.

List any other let's do the analysis

Nigerians limit themselves. These aren't the only countries to migrate to. A friend in Japan didn't even spend up to 5000 usd in total to migrate there. What of Spain. France isn't up to 29 million. Germany blocked account is 15 million. Plus all those places you mentioned, what happens after schooling?

It is. Leave him to travel, he will never regret it, if he traveled legally.

Legally or illegally, his age permits both.

Ask him if he is able to finance the cost. Cost of settling down etc.

One of my cousin has been disturbing me since.. He wants to Japa he wants to Japa. I gently put down the cost for him by the time our calculations exceeded 29:million he had dropped the idea

Japa Japa... Don't carry visiting visa to enter Europe or America else you go hear am

With his age, he can go legally or illegally. Time is on his side.

Op, what in the world makes you think the things you complain of in Nigeria do not happen where you are going?

The lack of power and electricity is probably the worst in Nigeria making everything else worse. But Nigerians that Japa are too ashamed to tell you that proportionally, foreigners in these overseas countries make up a higher percentage of the poor.

Yes, a poor foreigner overseas is a naira millionaire in Nigeria. Many Europeans and Americans live from one paycheck to another. If they miss more than one paycheck in a month, they become homeless and go on welfare, food stamps, food pantries as was televised worldwide on tv. during Covid-19.

Would you tell Nigerians if you were homeless until you freeze to death?

You can't rent an accommodation, can't get a job, can't access certain stuff.. You will be treated like a leper if you don't have ordinary national insurance number in UK.

Think twice the advice u give cos small time now him go cone here come complain how he took the wrong step

Japa has always been a trend since the 80s, just move legally and get a sure path to citizenship…. Your future self and your kids would be eternally grateful for such a sacrifice

I have always believed I will make it in Nigeria no matter what. But with the current realities in this country I am seriously considering japa. Nothing is working anymore.

Forex isuues
Security issues
Inflation
Food insecurity
Tribalism
Power failure

These are too much for me to bear. I can't continue to act strong...I am already broken.

Follow your mind bro. May the universe guide and protect you.

When you move illegally, that's when it's extremly difficult to get a decent job. Then you begin to suffer and it will take time to achieve anything

That 25 years ago, Nigeria was seen as good and promising.
Tensa, over 25 yrs ago, Nigerians were in a terrible economic state with abacha as HoS. It was worse than now.. pple were being owed salaries... there was no end in sight..
But then it passed.. this will also pass @ HeadNigga.. i feel japa is still not necessary... finances are not the only aspect of your life.. there is family, culture, sense of belonging, raising of children, food, social arrangement, religion, weather etc..
