This is a trend. When the girl is single she wears trousers, super miniskirts and a lot of sexy clothes. Once she gets married, it becomes ankara, ankara, wrapper, ankara and English wear once in a while. Is Nollywood being just stereotypical or is it a reflection of what we believe to be the dress code of a responsible married lady/woman?

I'm posting this in family, because I believe Nollywood equalizes a traditional dressing to a solid family and a better management of the house by the woman.

Haven't seen Ini Edo in ankara/wrapper.

Never saw Monalisa in ankara when she was married, or Chika Ike.

I am yet to see the younger married women in wrapper.

Who is Chika Ike?

Ini Edo sure wears ankara a lot as a married woman in her movies. Watch The Billionaire's Daughter, Worlds Apart or other movies where she was married.

I don't think I have ever seen a movie where Monalisa was married.
