Will the dollar come down to 175-500 ever again? Although in theory it's possible but this is Nigeria where practically speaking nothing of such ever work.

Tinubu floating of the naira and removing of the subsidy with bad timing. On theory the policy is very good. But the practical aspects with the timing is so wrong.

Now he is telling Nigerians to be patient. The same thing buhari uses to waste 8 good solid years

The only way the naira will come down is if Tinubu will subtract the extra zeros from the current rate grin

There is no practical way to remove subsidy. Anyone telling you they can remove bit by bit does not know that Nigeria have actually tried the bit by bit subsidy removal. What is the benefit?

It is only someone like Tinubu that can remove subsidy on $ and fuel and yet the NLC/TUC will not have power to ground the economy. If Jonathan was this bold during his tenure, we will probably have been better for it today.

That is what Ghana did which explain why people say Cedis is better than Naira forgetting the fact that what naira equivalent of cedis can purchase is more than what cedis can.

Tinubu should just remove the three zeros so that $1 can be 1Naira. I’m sure Nigerians will be happy by then.

Impossible future tense.

Y'all don't seem to grasp the implications of the iceberg we have hit. The major problem is that majority of the people (myself included) have completely lost faith in the naira..

Then there's the ish of some of us sane ones who also have absolutely no faith in the shambolic govt and leadership.

Only way Naira is ever coming back from this is if the country resets somehow and we magically become a producing economy (without electricity hence the 'magically') and that ain't possible either. Remember elementary economics and the topic factors of production? Electricity is in capital letters, ordinary elec we no get🤣

So you see why I say it is impossible future tense. Naija/naira is done. Period.

In currency trading, when a support is broken it automatically becomes the resistance and when resistance is broken it automatically becomes support. Only strong economic policies and solid economic blueprints can save the current situation of the naira otherwise otilor!

the ways you guys talk is unbelievable. Even the white man sees nigerians as foolish and docile. Subsidy is your right. The govt was elected to take care of its citizens. Tinubu like to give out handout thinking everybody likes stomach infrastructure. Wage award is ruñning into billions. Why not use it and subsidize fuel and price of food will come down.

Nigeria defies logic, when things goes up , they rarely ever come down and this is because some evil geniuses are benefitting from its increase. A dollar exchanged for about 21-26 naira back in 1999 and at no point did it ever remain at that rate instead it kept rising as if yeast was added to it till it got to this point but sadly,it won't stop until we are all ready.
