Hey!!


I want you guyz to help me on how to get rid of this shortcut virus(Recycler), its giving my pc hell, here is the screenshot of the virus below,
i'm using windows 7 Ultimate, and my antivirus is AVAST 2011, with valid KKEY & xpiration of 2038,

How it work: The Virus attacked all my mp3, 3gp files in my USB, as soon as i insert my USB, damn its suckkk,

Pls i need help urgently,

Update your antivirus software and scan the whole of your computer. If that doesn't work, replace the avast with up2date avira, then use it to scan your computer.

Run avast from the boot scan option to delete the virus and the affected files. To get there:
Open avast user interface>> scan computer >> Boot time scan and click schedule now. Your system will restart with avast scanni ng the whole system b4 windows get loaded

Sorry, the boot-time scanner is currently available in 32-bit operating systems.

Clik my id n check my last posts. . I posted a tested method but its not visible here.

normally i'm not a proponent of anything microsoft but i've found that microsoft security essentials is quite good as far as free antiviruses go - more effective than the avg i used to use before

and yes security essentials will fix that recycler virus issue

What the meaning of this?

It only shows that you r using a 64 bits OS and avast does support boot time scan for 64bit OS for now. You can try avg,security essentials or kerpersky

maybe 1 of ur file has virus, in other to detect u ve to format the system,after formating it the first thing u install is anti virus and make sure u update the anti virus b4 installing any application on ur pc.

microsoft security essentials is free, you can get it from the microsoft site (else you can search for it on google)

be advised,never treat an infected system with a resident antivirus from within the system-it has already been compromised, here are 2advisable methods:
1, i always create a linux-based kaspersky cd/usb to boot the system in linux to mount the filesystem and effectively disinfect
or
2, remove the hard drive and put into an external enclosure and put into a clean system and scan
if you need a bootup cd(kaspersky)you can always hook me up, call me
