Jesus speaKs about the divisions that will come, even among family members, over their belief or lack of belief about Him. In that respect, He has come to bring division.

During the reign of Tiberius Ceasar,he was a bad ruler.He taxed the Jews heavily and treated them like slaves.He was a bad man and the Jews awaited for the time God will save them from his hand.
