A passionate call was made by the founder of Arewa New Agenda (ANA), Senator Ahmad Abubakar Moallayidi for Northerners to wake up from the slumber of laziness and harness the endowed mineral resources deposited in many parts of the region.

Ahmad worried that the region is ravaged by poverty amidst flowing and abundant mineral resources that they can rely on to survive.

Ahmad who was a nonserving Senator to have represented Adamawa Southern Senatorial District and interacted with media men in Yola said the Arewa New Agenda has targeted the region to enlighten them on the need to unite to save the region from imminent danger of poverty.

Ahmad said ANA is a child of necessity whose right time has come to help awaken the sleeping giant of the North that its sense of value, relevance, and leadership prowess is fast eroding out.
According to him, no President will emerge without the support of the Northerners and that has not translated to democracy dividends.

He worried that the Northerners over the years had the opportunity of leading the country but the feats were not well utilized to benefit the people of the North.

He made a passionate appeal to all people irrespective of religion, tribe, and political affiliation to discard all differences and come together to forge the interest of the nineteen Northern States to fight poverty, illiteracy, and insecurity.

The Adamawa stakeholder Said the country is facing a big challenge of economy backlashes, he however said that the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu inherited a backlog of so many issues which is why Nigerians are facing the acute pains.

He said ANA is to project good leadership that will be beneficial not only to the Northern region and to bring the people to a common level of understanding of fighting for their needs in any given government.

He revealed that the Northern region is blessed with a lot of human and natural resources and called on the government and individuals to use their ideas, wealth, and knowledge to harness them in commercial quantities for the economic growth of the nation.
