https:///6bc45f91240229en_ng?link=1&client=iosnews Re: Disquiet in ministry of Marine and Blue Economy By Lanre Akeju I read with dismay the malicious publication in the name of a story against my friend and brother, Femi Oyetola, son of the minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola. For clarity, I have known Femi for about five years now and as someone very close to the seat of power in Osun during his father's administration, I can say with certainty that the picture painted of Femi does not fit his person and character. As a matter of fact, the father is not one who indulges the children and that is why you hardly see them around the corridors of power the same way you see children of other political office holders hanging around their father's office. Since the father became a minister, I can count the instances I've seen Femi at the ministry. He is a reserved individual, far from the type to intimidate or threaten anyone, let alone a Director. It's simply not in his nature. He wouldn't have done it, as he is a well-mannered young man who is focused on his own affairs and business. The concorted publication from beginning to the end, smacks of mischief and outright blackmail. I, therefore, urge members of the public to disregard the scandalous publication in its entirety as it failed the simple test of objectivity, fairness and balance. Reading through the report, it shows that it is a beer parlor journalism whereby the writer sat in his /her comfort zone to spew nonsense to serve the interest of the sponsors. How on earth can such a damning allegation be reported without convincing evidence and of course adequate attributions. There is no single attribution from the beginning to the end in that report, all you see is "sources who do not want their names mentioned". Therefore, the report should be confined to where it belongs - dustbin. Destroying a fellow human being can never make you grow in life. I pray God deals decisively with all those associated with that publication. 2 Likes 1 Share |

When you go through that publication you will know it is pure lies. The tone of the writer, ArewaReporters shows hatred not for Femi Oyetola but his father. She and her party PDP want to distract the hardworking Minister 1 Like 1 Share |

Mr. Femi is hardly around in Abuja He minds his business in Lagos. I laugh each time I read false reports about things he knew nothing about being ascribed to him. His father, my principal, is well brought up. Ditto, Her Excellency, the mother of the house. You can never find Femi and his siblings around corridors of power the way people of similar status would have been behaving. Smart, humble and respectful, Femi Oyetola is an example of an enterprising youngman desirous of charting a way for himself despite being born with a silver spoon. FM, as I fondly call you, I pray Almighty Allah continues to watch over you and ease your affairs for you. 2 Likes |

If you check it very well, you'll that it's a fat lie to defame the image of FM oyetola, if they go after those who started spreading this story now, those who fail to know the root of the story will start shouting and trending hashtags for them. These are the reason i supported SM deregulation 1 Like |

It so that the writer has no knowledge about the minister all is pure lie. |
Re: Re: Disquiet In Ministry Of Marine And Blue Economy by Kazeem26: 11:41am On Mar 01 |
One will see clearly that the story was a deliberately concocted attack on the Minister for Marine and Blue Economy, Gboyega Oyetola, sponsored by those who are not comfortable with the successes he is recording in his ministry. The issue of his son, Femi was just brought in as a distraction to get at his father. That is why you will not see any attribution in the story. Besides, studying series of write ups on the so-called ArewaReporters platform, it is nothing but a PDP attacking dog, aimed at destroying opposition members who are excelling. So, the writer should go and 'tell it to the marines', it is clear that they are all lies. |

Well, the content and context of the article clearly show that it was a mere academic exercise very far from truth. The said article can not be taken serious by any sensible mind because it lacks merit and is devoid of any empirical fact and evidence... No serious journalist will give a report and hide his sources of evidence. Who are the people that gave him the information but refused to reveal their identity? Only will believe in such a report. It is very obvious now, as indicated by some of the comments here, that some scoundrels are after the character of the former governor of Osun State, Gboyega Oyetola, and not really after his son, Femi. However, if their intention is to have a fight with Oyetola, why can't they face him directly instead of drawing his son into the roforofo fight. Why should anyone lie that Femi is mounting pressure on Directors and top men in the Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy as published in the obscure and hatchet online news platform, ArewaReporters. If they are not cowards, they can challenge Oyetola on his stewardship as Osun governor and equally as Minister of the Federal Republic and I know his media team will be willing and ready to defend his administration. The cheap mudslinging and character assassination must stop. It is not healthy for common-sense and polity at all. |

Femi Oyetola's commitment to excellence and his dedication to his personal pursuits are evident in his reserved nature and focus on his own affairs. His ability to maintain grace and composure in the face of adversity speaks volumes about his character and integrity. He stands as a beacon of dignity and strength, setting a positive example for others to follow. |

Alhaji Oyetola, Minister of Blue Economy, I will want to urge you to pay less attention to the evil machinations of your enemy. You should not the jobless evil news mongers to over power you. Continue to enact good policy in the new ministry which is under your care so our country can become more prosperous and regain her true place in the comity of Nations. Every sensible Nigerian knows your son is decent and hardworking and that he won't engage in some actions that will tarnish your image. I am from Ejigbo in Osun State and your legacy , most especially the 21km Ede/Ejigbo road that you constructed for us after many government had ignored our plights, stands forever. |
