Wrong.

Nigeria is only responding to what is done to Nigerian professionals abroad. Nigerians abroad are not exactly on the same pay structure with the aborigines.

This law is wonderful as it will force subnational firms to focus on home based talents first and only hire foreigners where the talent does not exist locally.

The challenge with free speech is that commentaries are unnecessarily generated from irrelevant niches where one has no expert opinions.

Eg a Pastor that chose to form political opinion instead of generating opinion where his/her specialty offers him fact set to produce factual opinions.

People are mostly generating stupid opinions these days in the name of free speech.

Maybe when other countries start doing same to your Nigerian brothers and sisters abroad, you will see the implication of such an ill-thought policy. The money is too much.
how many companies are owned by Nigerians abroad where the owners bring in Nigerians to head important sectors?

Name a single company

Dude is an illiterate. Its a good policy and will affect people like Adenuga who imports indian workers into Conoil and Glo.
What's the percentage of the population of people like Adenuga compared to the total population of Nigeria? A sound policy should prioritize benefiting the majority rather than penalizing or favoring a select few..
You that is not an illiterate should know this

which is better, to import 100 technically sound foreigners that will keep five thousand Nigerian on their toes and jobs or to handover your toil to people with civil service mentality who will bring the company down?
We even need more foreigners. Look at peseiro. He gets less than $50k a month but brought us over $5m. That's a good example.

Nigerians born abroad will simply apply for Nigerian passport. That are Nigerians and not expatriates

Getting a Nigerian passport is not easy. Nigerians with only one passport have been waiting months in UK already. Besides, many born abroad will not come to work in Nigeria as Nigerians because the non-expat pay is not worth the bother.

That said, they might appeal to employers who could pay them $12k more instead of paying it to government.

Guess we'd have to see how this pays out.

Please note that it will not really affect Nigeria in diaspora because the foreign country needs more manpower development in their country because of shortage in manpower in their country is the real reasons for Japa syndrome.

Your topic does not make sense. How will this affect Nigerians abroad?
