We keep on wasting trillions yearly without seeing the result. A country like Nigeria wey dey blessed with brains, good climate, natural resources etc go still dey suffer wetin small countries like Seychelles, Gabon and co no fit even dey suffer, all because of our poor choice of appointing leaders. Nigerians will boldly vote incompetent people to rule them all because of tribalism, religion etc.
What do I even know sef aside enlightening my fellow men nationwide.

Oga if you no meet your wife as a virgin, oga go for DNA test oooooo because boreholes aka non-virgins can't be trusted

ogbonti voted for APC in the last election. And now he is planning on relocating to his village to live like a king using solar power. Can you imagine?

Jonathan bungled the Privatization of the power sector the day he fired Prof Barth nnaji as Minister of Power, he listened to the agbado and aboki nay sayers and ojota activists ,the result is that we still do not have enuff power generation, and worse, the transmission network is wack! This is the reason why Tinubu should not go back on subsidy removal and naira flotation! Reforms take time to work...........the power sector was never fully privatized and Nigerians are not paying market prize for power supplied to them as a result, the needed reinvestment on the infrastructure is not being made! Nigerians are reaping what they sowed!

Imagine federal government paying part of MTN and Glo debts..........makes no damn sense! Govt should allow a realistic determination of power tariff!

I don't understand this gas debt, where does the electricity bills we paid monthly goes to?

The legal, government fixed price paid for electricity in Nigeria is LESS than the cost of producing the electricity.

Which means electricity sellers are running their businesses at a loss.

There's no mystery. If government fixes and enforces the price of rice at N10 per 50kg bag, rice will disappear from the Nigerian market.

That is why there's scarcity of electricity, Federal University education, forex and healthcare and petrol. The prices are regulated by government.

Good Luck to Nigeria.

No. Government is subsidizing power for Nigerians coz una no go wan pay the real cost of having stable power. Just like it was doing subsidizing fuel, government is also subsidizing power. That subsidy must go for us to enjoy stable electricity.
What does subsidizing power have to do with a stable power supply in Nigeria? So for us to enjoy an uninterrupted power supply now, the government must remove the subsidy? What of some of these developed countries that subsidized power for their citizen?

You pay directly to discos who then pay NBET. NBET pays TRCN and GENCOS. GENCOS are supposed to pay gas suppliers but because they don’t charge NBET the commercial cost of electricity generated, they simply keep whatever comes to them as profit plus other operational cost while they pass the gas bill to the FG.

Hmmmm! Gbogbo e naa lo ma mo. Salaye Master.

Every successive government from the time of Obasanjo has been telling us stories about this power sector without ever finding any meaningful solutions to the lingering problem now these ones have made the situation worse you don't have electricity and you can't buy much fuel to run your generator as before.

what is wrong with subsidizing?

are Tinubu, shettima, governors, akpabio, federal and state legislators paying for their feeding, clothing, accommodation, transportation, medical care, security, internet, phone calls and even for olosho that they carry?

how is subsidy preventing Nigerians from enjoying stable electricity?

Greetings. What baffles me the most is who even asked anybody on government to even subsidize anything in the first place!? Why them no just do wetin the British dey do, improve on am? Where did the so called subsidy idea come from wey we no go here word for God's sake! And good point you also made here about travel, health, etc.

This is what you were told right?

Give us light, give us prepaid meter and block any channel for bypassing and see people pay their bills

It's that simple but here we are, after squandering monies, government go begin yarn dust

Imagine subsidizing 3 hours daily light

What foolery is that?

You are paying subsidized electricity bills maximum N50/kWh which cost over N300/kWh to produce from natural gas.
