The problem with Labor is that they didn't stay neutral in the last election. It is difficult for a lot of people to believe they are not doing whatever they are doing for political reasons instead of the welfare of the people in the union. It is a weird place they put and have now found themselves

Everything started from the day NLC publicly backed a Candidate.

In that interview last night, the TUC President boldly said they didn't attend any rally or back any Candidate. He also stressed that they sat with all political parties and that was how it ended.

Oshiomhole backed Tinubu for second term but it was subtle.

As long as those two are there, there will be no love lost, ironically, their (Ajaero & Tinubu) tenures end same year.

However, this FG is not sitting up, I will hope they reply with the part of agreement they have fulfilled.

So because they supported a candidate then they can't hold the president responsible?

Are you guys Nigerians or tinubu stooges?

Every Nigerian has the right to challenge the president, no be we put am dere

Now you see that these guys rig so heavily, so they don't see the people as employer, cos how can an employee openly abuse his employer repeatedly and stay on the job still

In other words, their pure survivalist demands are politically motivated? So what happens to the NLC members, especially in the West, that voted Tinubu? Are they also playing politics? Admin of a forum like this suppose get small sense.

Haba mana

So labour should stay neutral and allow the country be grounded?

Their main responsibility is welfare of the people which starts from getting the right man to do the job

Indeed, the labor Union and the labor movement is the labor only viable opposition in this country. The rest are political parties with no ideology.
The President of Nigeria goofed up with that reckless statement.

Everything is politics to Tinubu, the man clearly came in unprepared for the job hoping to rely on his lackeys as usual and they are failing miserably at it.
Your government made agreements in a meeting headed by your COS,you as president also gave a personal commitment and none of the agreements has been met but you think they are after your job...but the Sultan of Sokoto and the Emir of Kano who delivered veiled threats to your government you and non of your officials including APC online vuvuzela zombies replied back or issued any comment grin
Don't worry the people who want your job are already passing the message to the same talakawas. Banza kawaii.

So does the law forbid them from participating in election? If you participate in election you can't hold the president when things are going wrong? I'm deeply ashamed to share national space with zombie like you
and what law forbids nigerians who voted Tinubu from thinking NLC is now a political tool in the hand politician after they actively campaigned against the government that nigerians voted for and still undermining it every second of the day?

What's political about any thing the NLC demanded,is it a crime for a body like NLC to demand for the welfare of their workers or for the government to put in place policies that will alleviate the compound hunger afflicting Nigerians

Already disconnected.

He doesn't know that people are actually dying of starvation and frustration. Mr. President, returned the economy back to the deplorable state you met it (everything are far worst than you met).

This is a lame thing to say. Whether or not Labour is doing what they are doing for political reason or not does it change the fact that Nigerians are suffering?

One cannot support this evil of a government without sounding dumb

I just checked the moniker, much more was expected from you it is indeed right to keep silent and have others assume if one is wise/ calculative than for one to talk recklessly and everyone easy confirm one isn't sensible

In almost all democratic countries, Labour unions support certain political parties
with socialist leanings e.g UK and US even with huge donations.

What we should concern about is whether the labour union has legitimate requests
given the current economic realities and not the party they supported.

The people protesting are family people with job working under government.

The day those without job come out, he would know that campaign ended almost a year ago.

So NLC should keep quiet and fold hands and watch Tinubu destroy the masses with his ill conceived policies with no clear pathway for reducing the suffering of the masses?

You can't shut down or attempt to shut down the economy and cause security worries 4 times in 9 months. It is senseless. Give government some time or breathing space for them to work. Governance is not same as frying akara or making block overnight.

Must Labour leaders identify and support a particular presidential aspirant? The labour leaders lost morality the day they openly declare support for a presidential candidate. Fine, they have the right to vote as provided in the constitution but as long as you are a card carrying member of a political party, all your actions will be subjected to scrutiny and you won't earn the trust of the govt anymore.

There is nothing wrong in supporting a candidate they think would improve their welfare. As it stands now, workers are suffering. The same Tinubu that gave Fubara agreement to sign and implement does not want to keep his own agreement with labour.

Protest by the people is the only solution . We don't need NLC or TUC these are both corrupt organizations which the government bribes to confuse us .

All we need is to organize street by street take to the roads block major express roads in your area. Set old tyres on fire block the major roads and demand Tinubu step down

If Tinubu stepped down, which saint among the polithiefcians are you going to replace him with?
