Don't call local electrician to work on the meter, contact your disco. If local electrician tamper with it and breaks the seal, u will pay a huge fine.

There's a contact between 2 wires...

This happened to me recently. I ignored it at first and lost all my units. It's usually caused by short circuit. Off your electrical mains and quickly call a technician before your units get cleared odf and the switch of the prepaid meter get burnt

Get in touch with the electricity distribution company complain unit and let them allot a prepaid meter technician to check your prepaid meter.It can be the a component that has gotten faulty eg IC

Check if the voltage is low.

I usually experience this too when voltage is low.

No one can solve your problem here, visit the DISCO business unit in your area.

It maybe caused by excess load also known as overlaod, how long have you been using it? It's recently installed?

It's the fuse inside the meter. Call a technician from from your DISCO to come and help you fix it. I had similar experience last year.

Let me give you an honest opinion, that's exactly what I'm using now.. they already configured the new meter to " trip off" when current drop and ON once the current goes up again. God knows I hate the meter. The meter does not supply low current.

Contact the DISCO that covers your location I.e. AEDC, BEDC, IKDC, EKDC etc.

Please note that you must not engage the devices of any electrician otherwise the DISCO will claim you tampered with the meter.

Make sure you make the report about the meter with a letter received by the disco's office and ensure you have an acknowledgement copy.

Be careful brother with these DISCOs my brother, their own pass police in terms of wickedness and extortion.

when the current is low it use to Trip off and on.

Okay, so you are asking mods to move it to FP so you can get solutions from anyone that can help - emphasis anyone. Hope you can see the folly in exhibiting tribalism because at the end of the day you will need people to help you with one thing or the other regardless of where they are from.

it could either be fault from Neutral incoming wire or low current if its single phase meter

My friend ur voltage or current is low ......it use to sound one demonic alarm like that .....

It needs software update. google some DIY videos to sort it out.
