We have been saying this over the years.
We hope they borrow somethings from the below.
God bless Nigeria πŸ‡³πŸ‡¬....

How to move our Darling country forward, Minimum Wage-wise....

1. Abolish SECURITY VOTE in NIGERIA. Nigeria will pay N60,000 minimum wage comfortably.

2. a) Abolish CONSTITUENCY PROJECT FUNDS
b) Reduce number of ADVISERS to SENATE PRES(2), HOUSE SPEAKER(2), GOVs(4), PRESIDENT(5), VP(2)
c) Reduce current ALL Political Office Holders PAY CHEQUES by 51.5%, without exception
d) Do away with special remuneration to POLITICAL ADVISERS & PUBLIC SERVANTS e.g; Purchase of Private Vehicles, Houses, granting Govt paid Vacations, paying for 1st & Business Class Transportations, etc, etc...
e) Abolish payment of OVERSEAS MEDICAL BILLS for Political Office Holders.
f) Eliminate PRIVATE PRACTICE in public workforce
g) Eliminate participation of Public Workforce in Partisan Politics.
h) Institute EMPLOYMENT BY MERIT, and eliminate UNDEREMPLOYMENT.
i) Review and eliminate allocation of Govt paid POLITICAL AIDES & SUPPORT STAFF to Political Office Holders.

With (1) + (2) Nigeria would pay a minimum wageof N90,000 comfortably.......
(3, 4 and 5 To be completed on another thread)

God bless Nigeria
We will get there.......

and we keep fight over this guys who doesn't care about the living condition of its citizens.

please what can 30k do in the life of a single man talkless of married man, our leaders has taken us as fool who can't stand for itself even when our right has been trampled upon... Nigeria deserves better.

common simple basic amenities we can't have, we practically have to fight the leaders to do what they were elected to do and the fight back as if it will be done with there money.

how can we applaud someone that we elected to do a job that he will be paid too even still steal out of the funds given to him ... I swear this country is f...king backward.

religion and tribe is the pest eating us all up and every single generation keeps falling for this.

stomach infrastructure have killed us they will give you 1k and one cup of rice to sell the future of the next generation and you will all troop out in the street and praise them while they laugh at your stupidity share millions and billions of naira for weekend allowance while hunger and depression kill it citizens.

God bless the late Fela Anikulapokuti.

he spoke and we danced without listening πŸ‘‚ to what he was saying we will continue to dance to beat in this country without listening to lyrics.

God help us only if we stand and help ourselves.

The cost has increased but salary per month in Nigeria has remained the same, very sad to see this happen. And to make matter worse, no jobs in Lagos, no jobs anywhere. The little jobs that are there are paying low salary and then it takes a lot of money to get to work and back. help ohlll The best thing is to find remote jobs, nothing more than that can help the cost of things.

One thing that surprises me about the minimum wage issue in Nigeria is that the so called minimum wage is only implemented by the federal government as even most states and local governments don't normally implement it and the private sector employers don't even give it a thought.

So, any minimum wage discussion that doesn't involve a compulsory implementation by the federal, state, local governments and private sector employers is just an effort in futility.

The problem of Nigeria are the politicians. They have produced a class for themselves that is totally far above that of ordinary Nigeriams and they just don't car so long as their pockets will continue to be lined with new mints.
Until Nigeriams are bold enough to confront them the status quo would remain.
