Wizkid's musical journey began at a very young age:

Early Start: Wizkid, whose real name is Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, started his musical endeavors at the young age of 11 years old in 2001.

First Project: During this time, he collaborated with a group called Glorious Five, consisting of his friends from church. Together, they released a 7-track album.

Early Collaborations: By 2006, Wizkid, then known as Lil Prinz, actively pursued music full-time. He collaborated with various Nigerian pop acts, including prominent names like OJB Jezreel, Naeto C, and Banky W.

Solo Debut: His focus on solo artistry came later. In 2009, he signed a record deal with Empire Mates Entertainment (E.M.E). 2011 marked a significant year as he released his debut studio album, "Superstar", which achieved critical acclaim and established him as a rising star in the Nigerian music scene.
