JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions.
2. Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness.
3. Monitor daily cash balances and prepare cash flow forecasts.
4. Liaise with banks and financial institutions.
5. Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies.
6. Ensure accurate recording of bank transactions in the accounting system.
7. Assist in the preparation and review of budgets, revenue, expenses, payroll entries, invoices, and other accounting documents.
8. Ensure the accuracy of data input and handling of financial data and reports for the company's automated financial systems.
9. Interact and provide assistance to internal and external auditors in completing audits.
10. Prepare prepayment schedules.
11. Support in the preparation of financial reports for review by management.
12. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein as and when assigned by the Finance Manager.

Requirements and skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or any related field from an accredited institution.
• Three to Five years’ experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in a healthcare institution.
• Accounting Skills: Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, including financial statement preparation, budgeting, and financial analysis.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately record and track financial transactions, reconcile accounts, and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate financial information to internal and external stakeholders, including senior management and financial institutions.
• Software Proficiency: Proficiency in accounting software as well as Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve complex financial issues, and to develop innovative solutions to improve treasury processes.
• Teamwork and Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with colleagues from various departments to achieve common goals.
• Excellent command of oral and written English.
