Sports journalist Joan Iwuchukwu recently experienced a moment of pure joy as she was presented with the keys to a flat in Abuja, Nigeria's capital, by none other than Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa.

This generous gesture took place in December 2023, when Musa, a prominent Nigerian footballer, announced that Joan was one of the fortunate individuals to receive a flat in one of his estates located in the Federal Capital Territory.

Having just returned from the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations held in Ivory Coast, Musa, renowned for his time at CSKA Moscow, personally handed over the keys to Joan, marking a special occasion for both of them.

Speaking to Sports Brief, Joan expressed her delight and revealed that she has already been dubbed 'landlady' by her friends, showcasing the significance of this gift.

Joan further shared that her connection with Musa spans over thirteen years, dating back to his time at Kano Pillars.

Her gratitude was evident as she took to social media to share photos of the memorable moment when she received the keys to her new apartment from Musa's lawyer, celebrating this milestone in her career and personal life.

Joan told newsmen:

"A dream has become a reality. All this while I was living in a fantasy, asking myself am I truly a house owner?

"Until when the lawyer called me and said I should come and collect my papers. Everybody has been calling me 'landlady o' landlady'.

"I want to say I'm very grateful to God. I am very grateful to my boss Ahmed Musa. I will continue to appreciate this gesture he has done.

"I will always pray for him and may God continually bless him for what he has done for mankind. He doesn't know what he has done for me, but I know. God bless him."
