Chummynoni: Any sensible person would have left that community. Due to the Nigerian Army's history. Anybody that is killed should blame themselves. They should run for safety first..... |
Re: Delta Killings: Soldiers Occupy Okuama, Raze More Buildings by DiscoverID: 9:10am On Mar 18 |
You are daft, can you point to a single village that belongs to boko haram or Fulani bandits? Bomadi has a static and known location, hence they messed up. If you must ambush the military, why not do it on some neutral ground? Why do it in your community? Just recently, the Nigerian military bombed a complete village, killing 247 people in kaduna and there are several of such instances in Borno state were drone was used to strike and killed over 300 people in an IDP. Read about collateral damage. And yes, the moment you carry an assault riffle, you become a legitimate target. Get over your feelings. Xox1945: 3 Likes |

Why is the military fighting the innocent villagers. How will they even get the culprits if even and innocent villager is on the run for his life, is it a criminal that would now hide somewhere close to the village? These criminals have guns, this is the first time they would be attacking the soldiers. What have they been doing with their guns? Most probably attacking, kidnapping or robbing the innocent villagers now they attacked soldiers it's still the villagers suffering. This country ehn 1 Like |

In as much as I condemn the killing of our soldiers, the military should not vent their anger on innocent civilians. Every same mind knows that the perpetrators would have taken to their heels soon after their hideous act. 2 Likes |

Niger delta has enjoyed a lot of peace recently. The military should not disrupt the peace with high handedness. Focus on the killers and don't go beyond that 3 Likes |

I dont think the culprits are from that village, no same person from there would do this knowing that the army will revenge. It may be Simon ekpa boys or maybe bandits imported to make headache for jagaban. 1 Like |

Sleekfingers: That means our military are not serious people then. If an ordinary villager should have fled the village by now. Is it the criminals that would still be there, so why raze innocent people houses. Conductor slap you, you dey slap tyre. It's doesn't make sense 2 Likes |

abba190: What "peace keeping" operations are soldiers carrying out inside Nigeria? Do you know how the Okuama people have been terrorised by the Ijaw using Tompolo boys dressed in military fatigues? The Okuama boys attacked and dismembered the soldiers believing they were the regular Tompolo boys who wear military fatigues to come terrorise them 2 Likes |

kettykin: If Civilians are allowed to carry arms, you won't be able to stay in this country. From school shootings, to criminal activities, Gang shootings every day, to road rage, etc. All these happens every day in the US, and they have an environment with way less corruption than what we have here, better diplomacy, the court works the police officers wear camera, their vehicles have cameras even that of civilians, there are cameras every where it's just hands down a better environment than we have, and they still deal with the ruins of Gun leaglization. Then compare the terror that will behold us if such kind of law is approved. You yourself you will run to another country. 1 Like |

While I do not support the destruction of the properties of the innocent, parents should train their children the right way and when a child gets involved in criminal activities, submit that child to the police. if not , sometime in the future, your entire generation and the innocent around you would suffer for the consequences of their criminal activities. Don't say it is not possible because I know a man who handed his own son to the police for stealing among other very painful things and the guy eventually changed. If not , he might be a most wanted criminal today. |
